About the Role
As a Digital Sales Specialist at IBM, you will be part of a high-performing technology sales team driving digital transformation for clients. This role combines strategic thinking, consultative selling, and hands-on engagement to co-create solutions with clients — moving beyond showcasing products to building long-term business impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Digital Sales Strategy: Develop and execute innovative digital sales strategies aligned with IBM’s business goals. Stay updated on industry trends and digital marketing tactics.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target potential clients through channels like social media, email, SEO, and online ads. Use data insights to prioritize and qualify leads.
- Consultative Selling: Engage clients to understand their digital needs and business challenges, offering tailored solutions that demonstrate clear ROI.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and track leads, opportunities, and conversions in CRM tools, ensuring timely updates and reporting.
- Product Knowledge: Build expertise in IBM’s digital platforms, software, and automation solutions to effectively communicate value propositions.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster long-term relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Negotiation & Closing: Present proposals, handle objections, negotiate terms, and close deals while ensuring accurate contract execution.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Analytics & Reporting: Evaluate digital sales performance metrics and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends in technology, digital sales, and automation through IBM’s professional development programs.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Close to graduating from a STEM MBA Program (no earlier than 2027).
- Strong passion for technology and hands-on problem solving.
- 1–2 years of experience in software sales or digital transformation consulting.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E background with MBA (STEM specialization preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, data analytics tools, and automation technologies.
